How Do You Get Discovered Before Launch Day?

Honestly, this is a very fair question here, and it’s something a lot of businesses don’t think about. Instead, they think about after launch day, they think of content marketing, email marketing, and a whole bunch of other things, specifically after the big launch, but rarely before. And yeah, there’s this weird little problem every new business bumps into. You’re building something cool, you’re excited, you’re planning this big launch moment, but then it hits you.

Okay, but who’s actually going to show up for this launch if no one knows the brand even exists yet? Well, figuratively and literally speaking here. But yeah, in general here, it’s that awkward pre-launch stage where you’re basically whispering into the internet, hoping someone hears you. If you’re a business serving locals, well, that usually helps your case, but if you’re strictly an online-only business, well, there’s going to be some challenges there.

But in all honesty here, getting discovered before launch is tough, because you’re new, you’re small, and you don’t even have the full something to show people yet. So how do you hype something people can’t see, can’t buy, and can’t use yet?

People Want to Know Something is Coming

So, there’s something about teasing a launch that gets people curious, but only if they know it’s happening in the first place. You don’t need a whole brand reveal or some polished campaign right out the gate. Just generally speaking here, people just want a reason to stay tuned. Even tiny things help. Actually, it’s pretty common for businesses to try and do little hints. Well, not just that, but soft previews. So, a photo of a detail so small that no one knows what it means, but they still feel like they’re “in” on something.

Maybe it’s worked for you before when it came to other businesses, but yeah, curiosity works way better than full explanations anyway. And yeah, it feels weird building hype with basically nothing, but honestly, people don’t need everything up front. Just enough to feel like something is moving.

You have to Make Yourself Discoverable while You’re Still Building

It sounds obvious, but so many new brands hide until launch day, like a good chunk of them actually do. Were you considering similar? And that silence makes things harder. It’s not enough to just tease things; people have to actually find you. So, you’ll need to do some small steps here and there to actually make a difference.

For example, you’ll need to set up a website, you’ll need some tailored SEO services so you can get a head start, you need to post early, you need to claim social media handles, update landing pages, and get people to sign up early like an “early crew”. Basically, you need to be discoverable right now; that’s the only real way to get known before launch day.

Just Showing Personality Makes People Stick

People don’t follow a brand because it exists; they follow it because it feels interesting. Again, you’re probably no different, right? But that’s the part most new businesses miss. So, before the launch, it’s not really about the product or the service yet; rather, it’s about the personality behind it. Like, it’s the whole energy, it’s the ton, and yes, it’s the little moments and the way you talk. Basically, you want to show your human, you’re normal, you’re not a corporation, and people will absolutely stick around for that.
